Slow, windy day
Observations:
Ringing: We woke up at our usual time of about 4 am, but after looking at the weather forecast and out the windows, we concluded that the winds were too strong (11 to 12 m/s from northwest) and the precipitation too great to open the nets. Therefore, we went back to bed and were able to get some more much appreciated hours of sleep. At 8 am we woke up properly and, after concluding that the conditions were still too poor to ring, put the extra energy our sleep had provided us into planning and executing some much needed cleaning of the house, after which we could lean back and relax or go on walks outside.
Tomorrow, we hope the weather will once again allow us to open enough nets for standard ringing.
